CNN Report on George Obama (aired August 22, 2008)

UTPP,

I may not fully grasp the cultural complexities of Obama's family, but George Obama's Kenyan neighbors (who you would think would have a better grasp than me) think Barack should lend George a hand.

Barack wrote about meeting his brother George (who was a child at the meeting) in his book "Dreams of my Father" which was published in 1995.

Also, check this Reuters report about Obama's Aunt [FULL STORY] ... "Zeituni Onyango, 56, who Obama calls "Auntie Zeituni" in one of his memoirs, has been living quietly in a public housing complex in Boston and is the half-sister of Obama's late father."

You and I may have just heard about her today (and no I don't expect Obama to work to deport family), but Obama evidently knew enough to right about her in one of his books both of which came out years ago.

Look, I'm not saying that it's Sen. Obama's duty to lift every member of his family out of poverty, but he doesn't appear to have done anything despite knowing about his brother for at least a decade.

And, again, this failure to care for his brother doesn't disqualify him from the presidency (Sen. McCain certainly has plenty of personal failures), but it does make him look awfully hypocritical.
